Tumblr Love #2

Hello all

Today I’m drawing your attention to another of my favourite Tumblrs, and this one is a great one. It’s called Awesome People Hanging Out Together, and the photos feature average people spending time apart. (See what I did there?) Yeah, you get the idea, and here are a few of my favourites.

~ George Lucas, David Bowie and Jim Henson ~

~ Gary Oldman and Natalie Portman ~

~ Cher, kd lang, Madonna, Joni Mitchell ~

~ Elijah Wood and Macaulay Culkin ~

~ Betty White and Slash ~

~ Roald Dahl and Ernest Hemingway ~

~ Dame Judi Dench and Dame Maggie Smith ~

~ Neil Gaiman and Douglas Adams ~

~ James Dean and Elizabeth Taylor ~

~ Clark Gable, Cary Grant, Bob Hope and David Niven ~

~ Marlon Brando and Charlie Chaplin ~

As you can see, I found it hard to narrow down what to include here; there are just so many great images on there! My favourites are any where the subjects are laughing (like the one of Maggie Smith and Judi Dench, and the one of Cary Grant, Bob Hope, David Niven and Clark Gable), or just obviously having a really good time!

Link Love

Hello all

As I’ve said before, I have a favourites folder jam packed with fun links. I mean to share them with you, and then I forget, so I’m doing another big roundup of them, before I set up a new, regular (weekly) links post. I’m as bored of saying this as you probably are of hearing it, so I’m sorry! But I’ll get myself sorted out at some point, I swear!

First up, some photo links:

  • A great blog post from Color Me Katie showing that you don’t have to see somebody’s face to know how much they love someone. (via A Cup of Jo)
  • Some very cool photos/drawings from Pencil Vs Camera. (via Checks and Spots)
  • A stop-motion film with stills from a photobooth. It’s so great that I want to do it myself!
  • How to create a glitter effect, and a cinemagraph in Photoshop. (via Making It Lovely)
~ source ~
  • Old Brooklyn meets New Brooklyn.
  • Historypin – an archive of old photographs from across the world!
  • Clare at Checks and Spots posted about Michael Galinksy’s Malls of America project.
And a few other links for you:
  • A Manhattan townhouse with a swimming pool in the living room. I could live here very easily.
  • 15 Jobs you never knew existed, and some of them are downright weird: professional sleeper, anyone?
  • Leona thrifts and then spreads the love; so many amazing items on here!
  • Craftgawker – where my Pinterest button will be working overtime..

Until next time
