BEDN ~ What I Wore on my Birthday

Last week was my 31st birthday, and though I’ve mentioned it a couple of times on here (quite a few probably), it’s not really my style to do a ‘Look what I got for my birthday’ type of post. I got some lovely presents, and I’m very grateful for them, but I’m not going to devote a post to them!

But I did get dressed on my birthday with the intention of having my friend Hannah (who took me out for lunch) take some outfit photos. The main reason for this is that I wanted to show off my Mickey and Minnie Mouse tights, which you may remember from my Photo an Hour post last week. They have the official title of Best Tights in the World. I spotted them in Primark at Westfield when I was out with my sisters and dad recently, and when I said I liked them, my sister Kim bought them for me, because she’s a brilliant sister.

Top ~ Primark
Scarf ~ Yours

Tights ~ Primark
Bag ~ Primark

You see what I mean about the tights being the Best Tights in the World? I love them! Sadly, I got more than one hole in them after wearing them for just a day. They are quite thin, and I kept putting my finger through them when I tried to pull them up. Boo!

The photos were taken in Maldon, as they so often are. It was a very cold and windy day, hence the hair in my face! I am always so uncomfortable when I am posing for outfit shots that there are only usually one or two that are usable, and these were the best of a bad bunch!

I do love this outfit though. I love the blazer, because it was a charity shop bargain, and the scarf was a bargain at just 80p from Yours. It was reduced from about £8 too, so I was very pleased when I spotted it in their sale section!

This the first of at least ten outfit posts I plan to do as part of my 32 Before 32 list. I’m trying to get better at posing, and hopefully, there should be a noticeable difference between this, the first post, and the last one. We will see!

One down, nine to go on number seven of 32 Before 32 – do ten outfit posts.

  1. I love your entire outfit… but especially the tights. I was thinking they looked a bit thin though… you’d be freezing in them here at the moment! I’m wearing thermal tights.

  2. You look fab and those tights are great. I saw them in Primark when I was in London and wasn’t sure how they would look on, wish I’d got them now as don’t have a store near me! Hope you had a lovely birthday!

      1. Oh no, what a shame. They looked so great on you too! I don’t think there is a Primark anywhere near me so I doubt I will get any. Thanks for the tip though!
