I’m really pleased with my progress on Project 366, I’ve managed to take a photograph everyday this week, without fail, and I’m happy with the variety of photographs too! I’m going to set up a Project 366 page with a link to each weekly round-up, and there’s also a page with links to the other Project 366 participants that I have been enjoying. Please let me know if you are participating too; I’d like to see your photographs, and I’d like to add you to my list too!
~ Day 2 ~
Not a great photograph, but I had to take it quickly before my battery died! I went for a Bank Holiday walk with my sister, and snapped this as we went on our way.
~ Day 3 ~
Apologies for this one, it’s the first (and hopefully only) photograph of this project that will be taken on my phone! I don’t have a great camera on my phone, it doesn’t have a flash so it’s fine when there’s plenty of natural light, but otherwise it’s not great! Anyway, I watched Cars 2 with my nephew; it was the first of my 52 New Films in 2012. I didn’t love it, but if you forget that the mighty Pixar made it, it’s perfectly OK. Just a bit of a letdown when you know the same studio made Finding Nemo, the Toy Story films and WALL·E.
~ Day 4 ~
A candy necklace! I got this in a pack of sweets that was with my Christmas present from Anna. Everything else is gone, and this was the last surviving sweet. I used to hate these things, because the boys at schools would use them as weapons, biting off a part of the sweet and then pinging the other half at everyone standing around. If it was a cold day in the playground and you only had thin flesh, coloured tights on, they hurt when they hit your legs. Nothing like that to worry about though, when you are laying on your bed eating one. The only problem is that it was over too quickly, and now I want another one.
~ Day 5 ~
I braved the weather on Thursday (incredibly windy, and rather wet), and went to the library to pick up some books that I had reserved. I am slowly but surely making my way through all of the Poirot books, so there was one of those waiting for me. Also, I have decided to try and read Rebecca and Someone Like You before I complete my World Book Night application, because I have only read a couple of the books on the list, and I want to have more choice! I only hope I won’t have left it too late by the time I do come to complete it, because I enjoyed being a part of it so much last year! The other book is Secrets in Burracombe, the latest in a series of books by Lilian Harry that I have been reading and enjoying. I know that they count as old lady books, but I don’t care. I love them.
~ Day 6 ~
I finally managed to take down the Christmas decorations on Friday, but as you can see, it wasn’t an unmitigated success. I couldn’t for the life of me, work out how the two parts of the tree managed to come out of the box, so I stuffed them in as best as I could, and left it for my dad to sort.
~ Day 7 ~
This is a landscape shot at Burnham on Crouch. I want to avoid as many landscape shots as possible, because I think it’s rather lazy to take lots of them. However, I was in Burnham yesterday, and it is rather lovely when the sun is shining over the Crouch.
~ Day 8 ~
This is one of my charity shop finds from yesterday, this and another jigsaw puzzle for £1 each! Bargain, especially as the other one is completely unused and this one looks pretty new too. I did see a lovely jumper too, that was only £1.50, but I wasn’t 100% sure about it and then I forgot to get it! If it’s still there when I go back, I will!
Until next time
